i really need to learn how to use photoshop, but i dont even know where to start, any suggestions
Ah gottcha on the color... but I did that at work & I'm home now for the weekend, can't change anything until Monday if I get some time
As for Photoshop, I'd say find a tutorial or something I guess. I went to school for multimedia design & have been using it for 12 years now, so honestly I don't even remember how I got my start! Getting to know the tools is key, and from there you can learn how to use the features together. Like for your color change - I used the pen tool to make a path around the area I wanted to change colors. From there, going grey/silver, I just desaturated the selection & adjusted the levels to where I though looked like a dark silver/slate color. Aaaand you probably can't follow any of that since you don't know the tools hah... it can be very overwhelming because there's so much it can do. I'm oldschool too, the new filters & tools aren't my thing so much, I stick to the basics instead of going for the fancy gimmick type stuff.

That's great! I was thinking the images you posted were a bit darker, as in there was less light overall which would make the paint color look darker. The image that I adjusted had more light in it, and I think the same paint you posted in that light would appear similar to how I made it. Either way, I dig the color
