Running an amp on a factory deck
Wednesday, June 29, 2005 1:38 PM
Is it possible to run Subs and a amp on a factory deck? If so, what all would I need to hook the amp to the factory deck?

Its just an idea I had, not sure if its even possible.
Any info is greatly appreciated.

Or find an amp that takes speaker-level inputs.

Ok just did this yesterday to the gf's car.

What u need is called a high to low converter. I paid 18 dollars for hers yesterday and we just soldered it to the factory speaker negative and positive wires on the rear deck,

Just becarful because my friend burnt him self like 3 times cuz u have to solder upside down unless u take the factory speakers out.
