the alarm is great just got one installed in the gfs civic, love the alarm, but about a year ago she bought it for about $500 so the price went down, dont lose the pager though, they was like $125 on ebay last time i checked

Its not necessary to get the LCD remote. Mine does the same thing and battery lasts logner in mine. I have the 771 w/o the LCD remote. The 791 and 771 are realyl the same besides the remote.
I think you should go with the Python 881xp instead. But it's not gonna be as cheap as the Viper alram. I will say though that, the Python doesn't vibrate. But in my opinion Python works, and last longer,

correct! i had the python 881xp on my old car it it looks exact to the viper 791 kit
Pythonn,Viper, and Valet are all made by DEI. they all have the sam products with jsut SMALL diferences
