Theftlock codes?

I have a CD player from an 02 cavalier and I want to put it in an 03 cavalier, I know it says LOC or whatever but I was wondering how to get it unlocked. I seen in a recent post a way to find it by pressing/holding buttons and calling an 800 number to retrieve it but he said he wasnt sure if it worked for my app. I just want to know before ripping into it how to get it unlocked so I dont have to go without a cd player

Try it and find out. It takes 5 minutes.

It won't work with the 1-800 number, because that only works on pre-2000 cars.

Read the last bit of this: http://www.j-body.org/faq//97/

You need to take the car to a GM dealer to reflash the BCM to work with the replacement deck. There is no other way.
