hi, i have a '94 Cavalier 2.2L and i'm curious what the stock alternator puts out? i did a few searches but couldnt really get anything although i'm sure it actually is in the forum here somewhere.
my monoblock has (3) 25amp fuses, and i just bought an old school Pioneer GM-H200 for my front components (100x2 RMS @ 4ohms but supposedly a bit underrated) with (2) 30amp fuses.
soo that's what, 135amps of current draw... i just don't think my stock alternator is going to do the trick lol. if i was to buy a high output alternator would it fit any other engines in case i want to do an engine swap? like i'm sure that the 2.2L alternator won't fit a 3.1 or 3400 engine, so it might be a waste of money.
anyway if i was to beef up my alt, amperage would be good to use my 135amps of current draw + all the rest of the car's regular functions (no a/c)? any good places that anyone knows of in Canada to buy decent alternators?
thanks for any input!

i think its 90 amps for the alternator on the 2.2s

you want to bump, then they will bump and hit real hard and a lot good.
