Help Me Pick A Sub

well right now i have 1 amp and 2 subs but recintly i got a 2nd amp of the same kind... what im trying to do is have 1 sub and 2 amps.... here is the specs of my amp remeber i have 2 of these oh i dont want jl.... and the amp face has to look clean..

A8000T mono amplifier
» 400 watts RMS x 1 at 4 ohms (800 watts RMS x 1 at 2 ohms)
» cooling fan
» variable low-pass crossover (50-120 Hz, 18 dB/octave)
» variable bass boost (0-18 dB boost at 45 Hz)
» preamp-level inputs and outputs
» 11-5/16"W x 2-5/8"H x 13-1/4"D

Good luck with the two seperate amps and 1 sub. Since the amps cant be straped you are gonna have to set the gains and everything perfectly or you will blow the sub. Best bet would be 2 4 ohm DVC subs. That way you can run each amp to each sub at 2 ohms.

What more is there to tell, he explained it perfectly. 2 subs, 2 amps, each amp runs a sub. Dual 4 ohm voice coil sub in parallel gives you 2 ohm. Voila.

well i can run 2ohms at 800 rms a piece so if get a dual voice coil 1600 rms sub one coil on one amp and another on the other amp....

don't run one sub off two amps...thats just dumb

it is possible, but you have to have both amps tuned just right or else you'll cook your speaker.

As i told you just go with two subs. It will be louder and less chance of frying things. I would go with maybe 2 12" L7s or 2 12" type Rs or what ever you budget allows.

If you are looking for a bad ass sub woofer though, i would recommend either Digital Design or even Kove Armageddon's. PowerBass Extreme is a bad ass sub also.

i did it. I ran two 1000bds to an RE XXX then i ran four 1000bds to 2 XXXs. And they all were set the same its not a difficult thing to do. takes time yes. but not hard at all

Hell if you want to get technical you could run 4 amps to 1 sub. BOO YAH!
