Anyone have a 99 service manual? Actually, anything 96-99 should be the same. I'm trying to determine if the 99 passenger bag will work on my 2000, because the plug is the same, but the wires appear to be switched A to B. (Green/White and White/Black, they switch in the plug).
I could just switch the plugs... makes little difference to me. But I want to make sure I have the high and low signals straight
In fact, I don't even need the diagram. Just tell me if the Green/White is A, or B.

I've notice there is no safe way to dismantle the connector. The only way I'm seeing is to snip the wires and reconnect?
Now putting a 96-99 airbag in a 2000-2002 car, could there be a problem other then the connectors... deployment?
I know the 98-99 & 00-02 are depowered airbags.
I know you have experience on this... so spill it!

I just hooked it up... no warning lights, so I was assuming it was working correctly.
I shoved a needle in the end of the connector to release the tab that holds the pin in place... slides out no problem. In fact, I was using a 99 driver's side bag as well... with a 2000 SDM. No problems.
Never set them off though
This is good to know, and good news.
I should have been more specific on my part. The connector that I was thinking and I didn't mention was the one on the clockspring that connects to the "car" under the dash. That's the one that looks to be a PIA to pull out safely as there is spring loaded "ground springs."

Now would it be a good idea to cut off the old connector and connect the new connector so it can plug to the car/SDM? From what I saw, it was only a green & white wire. Do you have experience on that part?

I swapped the other side of the same connector... easier.
The wire colours don't seem to make a difference as long as they connect to something. It's not polarized...
