hey everybody
been lurking for a little bit, thanks for all your help, even though you didnt know you helped me
just recently placed an order from crutchfield.com, installed it a few days ago
ive got a 98 cavalier rs, auto
stock with the exception of a drop in k&n filter
heres the head unit i got, alpine cde-9852
got the optional ipod cable, and it fits perfectly in the kleenex holder on the glove box door! look at that! wrapped the cable through so its a little tighter. it wont come out unless you want it too
bandpass box from the back
bandpass box from the inside with the seat dropped. it fits in between there really tight. i had to mash it in
and thats about it, nothing too crazy. but this set-up sounds great. its the best way to listen to your ipod.
220 bucks for the head unit and ipod wire. they also give you everything to install, free. insane deal. wiring harness, car kit, antenna adapter. all free!
Looks good.
I love alpine.

I was wondering what the hell that thing was. lol. I didnt know what to think of it really. Maybe i will try stuffin some kleenex in it when i go back to the states.. You never know when you need to blow your nose. haha
