so i have seen that some of the cavaliers with in dash screens have them moved to where the hvac controls are i was just wondering how this is done or if some of the models came with them on the bottom instead of the top id like to move mine if its at all possible also ive got a 96 cavalier z24 thanks
i wonder if that was expensive
that fiberglass work? depends if he did it himself the its not too bad. If he paid for it. it was a good penny.
It may cost a pretty penny but it shure does look nice when its done though.

thanks for the comments guys, i had a budy of mine do the work, but i told him exactly how i wanted it,
my patients is too short for that kind of work
What are you talking about sanding is therapuetic.
here's my 03 cav setup!! basically the same as Dan's!!
wow this stuff looks good, can you guys tell me how to start learning? Maybe some progressive step-by-step pics or tutorials?
I have an 04 cavalier. T
he A/C controls are on the bottom, and an aftermarket radio in the middle.
I would LOVE to keep the A/C controls in the same spot, move the head unit to the top like you guys have, and put a flush LCD screen in there (I already have a bunch of screens..)
OH, NOW i see what you guys did. the A/C vents are gone! Neat! Does that effect the air conditioners effectiveness? It's really hot where I live...
How secure is all that equipment?
My car was recently broken into, my old dash got a little ripped up. It'd be perfect for a fiberglass project like this. But my biggest fear is that someone breaking in again, and ripping my electronics off
Thanks for any help!

mine are in there good!!!, my buddy did mine! he used a soldering gun with a funky tip on it melted away the plastic that was needed to remove then fitted things in the screen is a headrest screen and he mounted the bracket in then melted the plastic around it to hold it in then fibreglass filled it then bodyfilled to smooth it out, for the vents he accually used the 2 vents to make a bracket for the dvd player and then fibreglass filled it then bodyfilled the top to make it smooth! then primers painted etc... hope this helps
