So I walk outside my apartment building yesterday morning (Monday the 10th), and I find a little 15-16 year old punk sitting in my passenger seat.
I make eye contact with him, and I flew off the handle. I started screaming "What the f*** are you doing?" The kid gets out of my car and repeatedly started telling me he was sorry, "I'm Sorry, I'm Sorry, I'm Sorry."
I start approaching this kid, cause I'm totally furious at this point. He starts walking around me as if he is gonna book it down the street, and I get in front of him. That's when he flashed me his knife. I back off so I don't get jacked, and grab my girlfriends phone. He takes off running, and I get on with 911. I follow him all through Fairview the whole time on the phone with 911. Cops eventually track him down and tackle the guy. He starts resisting, and threatening the police.
In the end, the guy had a warrant for previous crimes, he is being charged with Break & Entering, Posession of Stolen Property, and Posession of Break and Enter Tools.
He never got anything from me, but I do need a new key lock.
dude that sucks, at least they got the kid. People around here are constantly saying I stole my audio equipment (at the time I had jensen speakers, who needs to steal those?) and tried shankin some kid back in high school... I jus dont care anymore -_-. my gf got shanked though
what the hell is wrong with people, glad they got him
why would he pick the key lock when a close hanger threw the top of the window, down into the inside part of the door can have a cav open in 10 seconds lol. Thank god he was a amateur.
. Good to hear you have all your stuff still.
My Cav
I give up...
i'm buying a VW those people love trees, so they should love eachother too... "Andy"
the funny thing is, this was 10:30 in the morning, broad daylight.
These punks are getting more and more brazant...
Give me about 30 secs on a cavy with power locks. Ill have the hood open , the alarm off, and the doors open
Damn cavy's are too damn easy.
Or they could just grab a 2 x 4 out of the back of my dad's truck and bust out the window after they couldn't get the locked picked. The little f***er who broke into my car tore the @!#$ out of the interior... I guess he didn't realize what a pain in the ass it was to get the CD player out of a cavalier.

And you point is?
Thanks for telling me that, but you seem a little off, all your So called batts have to be connected somewhere. And i know your not using those batts for a 500watt system.
hmm, lets see. 2 glass break sensors for a 4 door. No exterior locks, and a merc switch, no problem. No problem.
I locked my keys in my car with my alarm on, i still got into my car, bypassing the alarm, and unlocking the door, with as little as a small racthet set, a flat head screw driver, and a set of dikes.
OK, I would have to say you're being sensationalist El Fuego. Yes, Cavaliers are easy to break into and steal. But then, so are 95% of cars out on the road today. The only cars that are truly difficult to break into and/or steal are things like the Audi S8 or the Mercedes S-series, extremely high end things like that. Frankly you can walk around a parking lot and I can show you a way to break into 9 out of 10 cars today.
The reason this isn't an issue is twofold: the professional thieves who can do this do not target cheap, regular vehicles like a Cavalier. Secondly, those who do break into and steal regular cars are generally not smart enough to cover their tracks and get caught.
Honestly, I know that someone could break into my car and steal it right now, and it's just outside my window. But am I worried? No, because it's a Cavalier, and far less attractive than the WRX with tint and subs parked two doors down the street.
I was happy when I heard my car ran 10s. Then I found out that was 0-60.

Well, i dont steal cars, I repo them for the last 8 months. Make a hell of alot more money then fricken Inventory specialist.
my uncle is a repo man, and he has his own repoing buisness, i was learning about how easy it is to get cars and take them, we recently got a audi tt but just simply push starting the damn thing almost, well that and rewiring the ignition switch in about 40 secs
just riding around in the 4 door cav
guys dont blame this poor little kid, its society that forces him to steal lol.
as for breaking into cars the point of what some people do with the alarms and backup sirens etc. is narrow the chances. as somoene above said, a real thief will get your car if he wants it, but out of all the theifs that only accounts for maybe the top 10% the other 90% are the ones that throw a rock thru the window or use a coathanger. the basic methods, those guys want easy targets if your car is to hard they will just move on to something easier, so by doing that youve kept a good majority of thiefs moving past your cars. and the ones that are good arnt going to bother with cheap cars, that be like a world class poker player, playing for penny ante's insted of at the 100$ table.
