Hey everyone, my z24 has the "premium audio" package and im not exactly sure what that means. Ive got the same deck up front as my cousins Chevy Venture (not really a good thing, I guess) and it sounds like ive got some kind of speaker/subwoofer in the back of the car. Can anyone go in depth as to what kind of speakers are installed? It sounds pretty decent for an economy car...
it means you have the DVC 6x9s in the back, they are still basically something you can do better with about 40 bucks and a local wal mart

should have an amp too. drivers side in the trunk behind the carpet. pretty much what rodimus said, you can upgrade with a cheap cd player and cheap speakers and have better.
GO PATS!!!
i will say one thing in my 2002 the front 4x6s were of very decent quality as far as sq and power handling, they sounded really nice off an amp

i never amped mine. i replaced my factory stereo before i replaced my speakers. the new stereo made the stockers sound like hell, so i replaced them.
GO PATS!!!
The sound system sounds fairly decent... the front speakers crap out at high volumes while the back ones are still going strong, so i adjusted the fade a little bit and that seems to have fixed the problem. Any suggestions for an improved sound system? The back speakers are reeeal easy to get to, i imagine the front ones are a pain in the ass though
nope, the front speakers are very easy to get to. Just pop of your door panel and you're good to go.
hey guys....I was at Best Buy and looking at their computer to find out what would fit into my car and one of the questions that i was asked was whether I had the Premium Sound package and they showed a picture of inside the car showing the panels in the back seat on the passenger side of the car and it showed a 6x9 in there.
Does the Premium Sound package offer two sets of 6x9's mounted in the car? I would love to do this to my ride!
