Alpine or CDT???
Monday, May 22, 2006 8:56 PM
I want to redo my system and Ive been looking for some 6.5 components i want to get at least 3 sets.

The Speakers i was looking at were:
Alpine Type R components
or
CDT CL-61A

Ive Heard alot of good things about CDT but ive also heard that the alpine's are very clear and the type r's have good midbass.
Can someone help me with the pro's and con's of each ones.

well, i would say this.. CDT makes a quality product top to bottom no matter if its their lowest or highest line, i would chose them over alpine any and every day of the week, look into what types of tweets they have and what kind of sound u want, tweeters are a big deal to me, i like silk, hard dome tweeters are too harsh for me... but its all personal preference, ALSO why the HELL are u gunna be running at least 3 sets of comps? lol

On the other hand....you have other fingers.

I just bought a 20 inch widescreen ultrasharp flat pannel..I'm going to have to subscribe to the high quality porn places now......damn

Both great sets, I own CL 62i's and i prefer them over Type R's, but either would make my a very happy camper. (I have heard a many Type R components)

I also like Soft Dome tweeters, anything with a hard dome is too harsh. Go take a listen to the Alpine Type X componets.
