wheres the stock location... and what size fuse did you use... sorry im such a electronic newb
grimor what do you mean tapped stock location, i didnt have power locks stock.... so would i have the stock location and how do i tap it....
you can pull from the ignition wire which is pink. this will give you power when the key is in the on position and make sure you fuse the wire to your windows and door locks.
ignition power wont help me on the locks will it?
still looking for an answer

oh no @!#$ duh. You could go to the battery directly for that. I don't remember what color in the wire harness is 12 volt constant.
on my car I just looked at the fuse box, and the one marked windows and the one marked power locks and taped those (if you check with a test light there should be going to the hot side of the empty fuse spot.

The two red wires on the igintion switch harness are both 12V constant. You can tap either one, just use the right fuse.
To check the fuse size, use an DMM, set to amps. Put in series, then operate the circuit. Use a fuse just higher then the DMM says.
Ban low-performance cars, not high-performance ones.
the kit came with a fuse and fuse holder....
thanks guys....
and grimor ill check it out....
might want to consider using a circuit breaker instead of a fuse for the power windows. Worst case scenario, windows are down, starts to pour, something goes wrong and you pop the fuse for the windows. Now you're windows are stuck down in the rain...I lucked out and ran power off the sunroof circuit breaker when I put my power windows in.
i used the stock circuit breaker location in my fuse panel for my power windows, then tapped into the headlight switch to get power for the switch illumination. other than those two it's just two wires to each motor and a ground. for power locks just find a 12v constant like everyone else said. grab a test light and start checking places where you know there's power even when the car's off (cig lighter, steering column, whatever)
as for grimor saying there's a spot in the fuse panel for power locks, idk about that. i never looked for it so i can't say it's there or not. i know a power window spot is though. i got about as base a model as possible and i had a spot for p.w.
either way, good luck with everything, and if you do a fuse instead of a circuit breaker just make sure to keep extra fuses with you and make sure you wire everything up neatly and clear of things that can cause problems so you hopefully don't need to use the extra(s).
theres no spot in a sunfire fuse box for power windows or locks. i checked that when i was runnin my locks. theres alot of empty spaces but perticalor (sp?) spot of them
If you use a circuit breaker, do not use an automatic re-setting one. If you keep popping it, it could cause everything to get hot and you would have no idea.
As for Ryan, just use an empty space, that's all.

I went to the main fuse box near the battery on the main positivie terminal. Mine also came with a fuse.
