i was thinking about geting a indash dvd player not kind of concerned about the space. any one have any expiernce with this? i have a 99 sunfire. i would like to go with the fold out screen but also was woundering how you could make a indash flatscreen work. the one i was looking at was a dual 7". any help would be nice. thanks

I have an alpine flip out screen. Install was a breeze, nothing different then installing a normal deck.

If you want the flat screen look, Usually Double din, your gonna need to modify the surrounding trim. Its not hard, and its not much trimming either.

You only big problem is the space itself in the dash. Your gonna need to trim off some of the excess plastic in the back just for room for the wires and fan.

I plan on doing this at some point. I am going to relocate my radio and HVAC controls and mount a screen in their place. You can relocate it anytwhere... some places I've seen haver been up where the air vents are, inside the console arm rest, into the glovebox... pretty much anywhere.

i wouldnt imagine that it would take much fab. to relocate them in the arm consol and make it look good would it? maybe just fiberglass somthing up to fit it all in or somthing. what do you think
