actually its really easy just tug on one side a little bit and it should come out then the other side will slide out ... you dont need to take and side paneling off at all.

easiest way to remove the rear deck cover is as follows.

1) Lower your rear seat.

2) Remove the plastic plugs, on my fire there are 2, some cars have 4.

3) Pull rear upper trim off, Its not needed, but it makes some people have an easier time.

4) Now pull the rear deck piece a little out and up, you will see how your seatbelts are in the way. At the bottom om the slot where the seatbelts are is a slit, so you move the seatbelt through that slit.

5) Now pull on the deck, up and out.

(ps) If you have a sunfire, you may have the child saftey belt clips in the rear deck. Just pull the carpeted piece above that and it will come right out.

get in the trunk, unhook the speaker wires, then get back to the rear seat, lift it up as much as u can to get ur hands under it, the speakers are held in with a couple clips, push the clips and lift the speakers out, theyre not that deep, thats how i did mine when i first removed em
