I was thinking, what if I bought one amp, and instead of two 12"s I bought a 15", then just used one connection for that.
Could I split the other connection to power my two rear 6x9's?

doubtful. If its a two channel amp, and each channel has its own crossover (high-pass / low-pass) you might be able to. I personally wouldn't though. for a more thorough answer, post specs about your amplifier, and even your plans for subs, you'll get more responses that way.

split a channel? running two off one? that'd be weird because a 2 channel amp is stereo...and ud have 2 speakers off one side....either left or right...and .. god just dont do it...id say get a 4 channel if you wanna stick with 1 amp, and have the subs goin off bridged output of two of the channels then amp ur fronts with the other two

you want to bump, then they will bump and hit real hard and a lot good.
LOL
if you have an amp that can run tri-mode, its very do-able. an amp that can run trimode allows you to bridge the channels (normally 2) into one like you normally would. the difference is, you can also run the same two channels in their regular stereo mode as if they werent bridged.
its cool, and very possible.
you should be able to power two things with one channel from an amp, depending on your setup and everything else. it may just be better to grab a 4 channel amp. then you have two channels for your rears and two for your sub. compare the cost, but i believe it is also possible with a 2 channel amp, i just cant remember how for the life of me.
Injection is nice but id rather be BLOWN!
