retarded question to say the least... here is what u need to know
1. what kind of music do you listen to?
2. what kind of sound are you looking for?
3. what kind of power are you going to be putting to it?
4. you're not going to find the "top subs on the market" for 350 bucks

On the other hand....you have other fingers.

I just bought a 20 inch widescreen ultrasharp flat pannel..I'm going to have to subscribe to the high quality porn places now......damn

Yeah, you'd have serious trouble finding any of my top three picks USED in that price range LOL.

Answer JL's questions and we can better help you out.

Rockford Fosgate punch's...about the "best" you will get for that much. And like was said above...it depends how much power you want to run, how much you will run, and how good you want it to sound. Anyones system can rattle a deck lid, or a license plate, but does it really sound good on the inside? Think about some stuff and determine exactly what you want...then go from there.

Yeah, you can do ALOT better than RF for that kind of money.
Type R, Kicker L7, elemental, RE SE, maybe even lower line Digital Designs would fit the bill.

SQ id say go with Type R/type s,MTX 5500-7500,Infinity kappa/kappa dvq,Polk DB's/Momo's,Rockford Fosgate/JL W0's or W1's,Orion
SPL id say Kicker CVR's/L5/L7,Pioneer SPL woofers(2500/5000watt),Audiobahn/MA-audio/Alphasonic(there all the same company)Memphis and so on and so on

It depends on what you listen to,how much space you have(or willing to give up) and what power your sending to em....now if $300 is your total budget for two subs you way want to lo0k toward alpine/mtx/infinity/kicker....
Personally Alpine and MTX have never steered me wrong, wether you go Sq or SPL you'll be blown away and as long as you can put 1,000watts to a set of type R's or 7500's your all set....go0d luck man do some research n let us know how you turned out

rockford is one of the top quality subs in my opinion, good for spl and sq, but in that price range, get a hifonics goliath sub, 3200 RMS watts!!!!

More than likely because there are a LOT of things to take in to consideration before naming a "best" sub. Most of those things he asked for right after calling it a retarded question. The 'best' sub for SPL is not going to be the best sub for SQL, and vice versa. To have higher SPL, SQL must be sacrificed. That's why it's a rather redundant question, unless we're assumed to know the type of music he listens to, the kind of space he has, etc. etc.

theres alot of opinions to0,me personally i dont like kicker or audiobahn, but there are people out there who love that stuff that want to hit high SPL numbers, there amps r phenominal but overpriced, there subs are loud but sloppy,i prefer two 12's in a nice sealed enclosure,i had two 10'' w6's.....mmm talk about SQ
Re: 3 top subs on the market
Sunday, August 13, 2006 4:43 PM
do you already have an amp, or have one in mind. or are you just going to wait until you get the subs?

1. memphis m1 $219
2. boston acoustic g1 or g2 $150-$230
3. memphis m3 $299

bostons if you want sq
memphis if you want bass

Seeing that sound is completely subjective, I would have to agree that it is kind of a dumb question, because none of us knows what he considers to be "good" sound.
What I think sounds good, Tom may absolutely hate.

His best bet is to go to as many stores as he can, listen to as many subs and demo cars as possible and base his decision on that. We can give him suggestions, but only he should decide what's worth spending his money on.
