my gf wants to get me a bluetooth intigrated HU soon, i want to know if i install an aftermarket one will it still function like stock (music plays till i open the door or after 10 min) and if i get that scosche gm interface door chime thing (
this thing ) will it all work together and keep chimes

Yup... the purple wire in the GM9 gets the data signal, which sends power through the red wire, turning on the headunit. It will retain the chimes ,and retain the delay power off as well.

i got the scosche one from walmart for 20, the gm11...yea im not payin 120 for that $#!t

The GM9's pretty nice though... I've installed plenty in Gm's and havn't had a problem. I believe that $20 one from wal-mart tends to "stick" (chimes stay ringing).
