Has anyone here installed these in there cavalier or sunfire. I'm lookin at the 6.5". I made a adapter a while back out of 3/4" MDF so I could install my infinity speakers. I was just wondering if these would clear ok? any help would be awesome. If these dont work I might look into some kicker componets or a set of infinity.

I am assuming that they would fit fine, they're 2.5" deep. My infinity's fit fine being 2.25". I would assume that all will be fine putting them in. I would just be happy to have someone back me up on this.

Darkstars (i think it was him) told me that he had to make an adapter like that but then also space out the window track to make it work.
Give it a shot and see what has to be done.

yea we'll see I am using a spacer made out of 3/4" MDF as it is already so we'll see how it goes.

I dodn't remeber if my spacer was 3/4" or 1" but the bottom of the window track had to be unbolted and spacers put in to push the window glass itself farther into the door. It was a super super super close fit with the still having a functional window and not having to hack up the door panel
was that on your silver cav with power windows, I dont know if that would make a difference or not.

yeah thats the car he used them on and let me tell you...ryan's stereo ROCKED. I remember a day he had sony xplods and he's like nah I don't care...and I repped alpine's type r line so much, he tried it...next thing you know, he had a FULL alpine type R setup that gave my ears an erection
