My deck has a dimmer feature if i want to take advantage of that feature do i have to connect the alumination wire of the deck to the dimmer wire of the metra harness? or do i connect the dimmer wire from the deck to the illumination and dimmer wire of the metra harness having a pigtail of 3 wires? please help, Thanks

The dimmer wire of your metra harness goes to the dimmer wire of your deck.

My deck has no dimmer wire, it has a illumination wire and its orange and white and the dimmer wire on the harness is orange and white, the illumination wire on the harness is just a solid orange, is it possible that pioneer uses the illumination wire as a dimming wire? and i know for sure my deck has a dimming feauture it says that in the manual and it says ti take advantage of it you have to connect the dimmer wire. but it doesnt say to what

just connect it to either one and turn your lights on..if your deck doesn't go dim, then switch it.
