Shaving with Crimestopper

I have a Crimestopper CS-865RKEII keyless entry system and one SPAL two wire 15 LBS solenoid. All I want to do is hook this up so if will pop the driver door open. Is there anyone who knows how to wire this. I found a diagram for a full spal kit in search but, I found nothing that told if you use the negative or positive pulse wires.

15 pound solenoid is going to cook in no time for the door. Second, you'll need to wire it in like so:

negative in is from your remote, the positive is to your solenoid. Make sure you fuse the +12 constant, and like I said before, the 15 pound is not going to cook quickly.

Thanks man. I plan on using a popper too. So, hopefully it will take some wear off the solenoid. I am actually mounting it on my 98 S10 (instead of my JBO) on which the door latches are smooth as silk. I just didn't know which wire to use on the brain. The solenoid is designed so that I can hook them up one way to pull down and the other way to push up. I just didn't understand the wiring on the brain. Thanks for the help though. I sure appreciate it. At least this way I'll also know what to do when I shave the keyholes on my Cavy too...and I'll know to get bigger solenoids for it.

That still won't be enough, 15 pound is good for a trunk, not a car door. Get at least some spal 40 pound solenoids, if not 50 pound ones.

I'll get the bigger ones for the Cavy but, I know from lots of experience with mini trucks that a show only S10 can use 15 lbs solenoids with no problems. The doors may get opened and closed three or four times a week. I have lots of friends that have used them on their show trucks and they do the job well. (I just wish they had installed the setups themselves...lol) But for my JBO, you are unquestionably right about bigger poppers. I will get them with the kit next time cause from what I saw, they aren't that much more with 35 lb or 40 lb solenoids. My kit was like $50 shipped and the one I saw with solenoids was like $85 shipped.

Make sure you ground your solenoids really good too.
