No sound out of speakers, sub still pounds? wire issue?
Sunday, January 07, 2007 9:26 PM
I havent pulled it apart yet, but for some reason the speakers arent play any music all the sudden, they worked great up until tonight and the weird part is the head unit plays, the sub and amp work fine, but no 6x9s or my new front speakers (kenwood 6's).

Like i said, i havent pulled the HU out yet, i just kept fiddling with the settings and turning it off and on...i checked a couple fuses but it was rainin like a mulla trucka so i didnt want my shiz gettin wet.

now i'm no newb at these sound system games, but what should i keep a heads up for tomorrow when i pull it apart?

oh one more thing, i can hear a pop in the speakers when the cd player turns on....

The amp in your deck could be fried or it could be a speker wire grounding out (touching another bare speaker wire or hitting the deck chassis).

Check the wiring inside your door panels. I had the same problem and it ended up being that one of the wires was touching inside my drivers door.
