This kid i work with build himself and nice seal box for 1 off brand 12" sub. I asked him about ti and he told me all about it and then he said he sprayed the inside of the box with rubberized undercoating??? I asked him why the hell he would sound deaded the inside of a box and he claims it helps the sound better? I just thought he was a moron but im just checkin. Any truth to this? would it help at all?
inside or outside and the entire box? front, sides, and back?
i spray my boxes with the rubberized coating also. i spray the inside
COULD I USE THE REST OF MY EDEAD V1 TO DO THIS???? I HAVE SOME LEFT AND IM GETTTIN NEW SUBS TOMORROW. I WOULD ASSUME IT TAKES THE SAME EFFECT.???
PS SORRY FOR CAPS IM AT WORK
I put two old pillows in mine...
I need a sig...I need new doors first.
I sprayed the inside of the box that sits inside of my dash. I also coated the outside with dynomat. Even though the sub is in the middle of the dash, there are no rattles and it sounds great with propper phasing.

does rubberized undercoating setup good... ive thought about using it a few times but have shunned away...
it works very similar to rattle can paint. except i find yyou need to shake it alot more durring coating to keep the "ruberrized effect" consistent across the spray. i usually use 2-3 coats per enclosure so i know i have everything covered well
WHATS IT MELTING OR BOILING POINT?
i never knew anything about this.... but ill have to try it. actually first of all i think i will spray some of this down over top of my deadening mat.
i guess it doesnt have to be at any temperature for it to stick correct? cause its a little cold in the ky right now but id still like to do it.
also, how long does it take to dry and what brand should i use. 3m undercoating (white /red checkers) or 3m undercoating professional grade (orange and black checkers)
