Ok, I know the sticky post at the cop says 4x6 speakers in the front doors, but I don't think that's what is in my '05 Sunfire. I don't have the Monsoon system, but the door panels look like there's a 5-6" round midrange, and about a 1" tweeter. Anybody know just what they've got in there, or am I going to have to yank the door apart to find out for sure?
A previous owner could have changed what was in there from factory, open it and find out what's in there. Grab your philips screw driver and get to work.

I know the previous owner didn't change anything in it. Looks like I'll have to open it up and see what's in there. If I can figure out how to do it without wrecking anything...
They're all 4x6's if the previous owner didn't change anything.

you want to bump, then they will bump and hit real hard and a lot good.
LOL
Alright, thanks. I am gonna take the door panel off tomorrow and take a look.
sunfires have 4x6's and a tweeter..its component but same stuff
My car may run 18s, but I can do your taxes in 10 seconds flat.
JBO lube - they would never have enough in stock and we'd never see RodimusPrime again
Ahhh that explains it! Probably better off to replace that 4x6 with a 5.25 or 6.5 then.
Ok, so it looks like if I get a set of these I can put the 5 1/2"ers in the door. I'm guessing this is a better idea than 4x6s
