I just installed my own deck, amp and subs....When i didnt have the amp and sub in....the radio came in really clear, ever since i ran my wires, the radio sounds like complete crap....Is it because of where i ran my wires?
Any help would be appreciated....Thanks in advance...Tom.
sounds like you for got to hook up your antenna, is it just your radio or while playing cds too? how many amps do you have? more information would help....
I bought the antenna adapter...I got one MTX Amp, and 2 subs.....I kinda remember the same thing happening with my old car, but i thought it was just the antenna, cuz it was a peice of @!#$ car..lol....So yeah....its pretty damn annoying.
what do you mean "sounds like crap"...stations just not coming in well?did you run your power wire seprate from the rca's and remote wire? (donno if that would affect you in this case)
Just as i said...It sounds like crap. And yes i ran the wires seperatley....It sounds very fuzzy...etc.. It sounded find with the factory unit...maybe ill just pull mine out and make sure the antenna is fully connected...
maybe your antenna adaptor is touching some metal, and picking up some outside interference. Just next time you install a HU wrap it in electrical tape.
Yeah alright...ill try that tomorrow...Thanks for the input, I Appreciate it.
I had that same problem the other day when I installed my new Pioneer head unit. The radio sounded horrible -- especially on AM. I pulled it out and discovered that the antenna adapter's metal outside was rubbing against the metal case of the stereo. Wrapped it up in electrical tape and also used a couple pices of tape to make sure it stayed plugged in. It's clear as a bell now.
