So i'm currently trying to get my fog lights to work again (stopped for no apparent reason) the car is a 2001 sunfire gt with 77,000km's.... I have checked and replaced both bulbs... replaced the interior switch and check the relay that is attached to the front bumper support just to the left of the drivers side head light... now my hayes manual shows there is a second fog light relay but the wireing diagram sucks... any help would be greatly appreciated..

have you checked any of your grounds yet? a rusty or corroded wire is usually the problem in a situation like this. but the realys could be gone too, they are mechanical after all and have a limit as to how many functions they can preform.

unfortunatly i dont have my hayes manual here (not at my house). i was able to find another wiring diagram, but the locations of parts are not listed. sorry.

i will be checking the grounds in the morning... the fog light relay (that the park lights) run through is working... when i hit the push button switch it clicks and i've also tried a new relay there... I checked all connections.. but will definitly check out the grounds

actually just thought about the grounds for a minute... and it can't be a ground... when i jump out the relay the fog lights work... i'm thinking it could be the bcm... i might take a trip to a wreckers tomorrow and swap the bcm see if that does the trick... it is the oddest problem

yeah i forgot the 00+ run the fog switch through the bcm... i wonder if that could be it.

pulled a bcm from a 02 gt... going to try it soon hopefully this solves the problem
