Hey guys i bought the pure blue bulbs from jason in the gp forum. He said they are stock wattage and will not melt the headlight socket. Hes right they are stock wattage but they melted one of the sockets before i messed with it a little and made it work until i got a new socket. I replaced the socket.. .... a week or so later my drl light flickers when i turn the car on then stops and the service light comes on i check and i have no drl's... so i turn my lights and the blue thing for the brights wont shut off and i look and i still have no headlights ... so i pullled them apart and both clips are melted .... so what the hell should i do i need the car tonigh i cant drive around with no lights .... what do you guys think the problem is i need help really bad so any help would be great

other than new clips and new bulbs there isnt much you can do.... i mean, other than you "hardwiring" the lights in, there isnt much options. something doesnt quite seem right if this has happened more than once with those bulbs. could be your wiring, but i would assume the bulbs since that is all you have changed.

You probably have fried the switch in the steering column. I had a similar problem, the pigtails melted like yours and took out the switch in the steering column which is $75 and a real headache.
