I'm just drawing a blank on this and can't think for the life of me how I install one,Do I just use the stock radio fuse in the fuse panel after I figure it out or what. Please any help out be great.I wish I had bought the Interface with the switched power in it
Heres some pictures of what I mean
I have never seen a fuse tap like this before
if you can help me thats great
Looks like that gets plugged in to whichever side is not hot on the fuse, then the wire gets soldered to the hole. That and one of the fuse legs gets plugged into the same terminal on the panel. Based on the shape, it goes around the fuse, wire is on the top of the fuse (where the amp # is)
I'd test it w/ nothing connected, it won't hurt anything
I bought something called an Add-a-circuit from Pep Boys, it just makes one fused circuit into two. Completely plug-and-play.

That fuse tap is too big - our cars use mini fuses.
go to a part store and buy a add-a-circuit like Anduril suggested - much easier to use
Sure, I tell you then you tell someone else, next thing you know, we're in the middle of another ice age.
that fuse tap will work fine....it goes like this..
It needs to be installed on the battery side of the fuse.

Heh. I just put the wire in the hole, and shoved the fuse in (the windshield wiper circuit btw). Its probably not a great idea, but, its what i have on hand. If i ever remember i'll pick up one of those fuse adapters.

you sure about that dude?
If you installed it on the battery side, the current wouldn't be going through the fuse....

You don't want to draw extra amperage through a fuse that's already being used....you could blow it. I would fuse the new wire separately.

That wire draws soooo little power... it's not necessary. Unless you want to waste a 0.5amp fuse and another fuseholder.
