Need some help with a speaker issue.

I have a 2001 Cavalier coupe that I just had a new Pioneer DEH-5900iB receiver installed in. Four years ago I put in some Infinity 4 X 6s and 6 X 9s in when the OEM ones blew. The 6 X 9s are Infinity 9603i's. Since I had the Pioneer receiver installed there is nothing but bass coming from the 6 X 9s. While the bass is great, I am irritated that I have no music or vocals coming from them. Initially I looked in the manual to find a solution. The manual says to use the S/W control. However when I do that, the only options I am given is to turn the sub-woofer off (when I do that nothing comes out of the rear speakers, obviously) or reverse it. I have no F/R fade control either, which is what the manual says I am supposed to use to make adjustments. There has got to be a way to fix this. Any suggestions?

are you using an external amplifier? it's clear to me that the rear speakers are connected to the subwoofer out rca cables instead of the rear out rca cables.

then thats really weird. your unit might be messed up, unless pioneer has a new feature now that lets you do rear sub output over the speaker wires.......

Pioneer does have that option actually you can run low frequencies only thru the rear channels.

There is a setting somewhere that turns the rear channels to power a sub. I'm not sure where it's at, but I know some of the pioneer decks I had in the past had this setting. Make sure it's not turned on.
