what is the difference in turning your subs into the box instead facing out wards? will it make them hit harder or more bass or what?
pretty sure its just for show, no advantage to doing it

Facing the subs towards the box with the magnet out saves yourself some displacement of the sub, but sometimes you get mechanical noise of the sub moving.
^they are right.
The sub makes 2 equal sound waves; one from the front of the cone and one from the back. If space is an issue and you need a smaller box (but somehow have enough room for the sub to stick out), you could mount it magnet out to save the extra box size you need for the displacement of the speaker if it was inside the box. Or maybe the magnets are realy cool looking and you want to show them off!! Either way you get the same bass.
If you want more bass, cut the top off a pop can so the edge is sharp. Neatly push it into your back seat and remove some foam to create a few ports for the bass to come through. Just be careful not to go too far and cut your cloth at the front of the seat. If you do this 3 or 4 times across the backseat you will still have structural integrity and allow the sound to travel.
