Well after a few years of uncertainty, last night i finally realized what the random spliced wire under my dash was for. FOr anyone who doesnt know, I've been fighting with my 04 cavy hu for about 3 months! After my Kenwood was stolen, I decided to go with Alpine, I wanted to keep the chimes and everything so i went with the class 2 interface( i know, i know!!), well much thanks to john lenko! ive been askin around for 2 months and kept gettin the same answer, its not possible without the interface. Well, when I joined this site, it only took a few days for me to find his sticky on the radios and VOILA! last night I used that "random" wire to tie into my orange 12v switched on the hu, put a new fuse on the splice, and WHAMMM working fine!!! no mal lights, still got me airbags, and everything else. Just wanted to say thanks to John for the info and that he was 100% RIGHT,
