well im not exactley sure if this is the rite place to ask this or not but i installed a aftermarket deck in my 98 cavalier and when ever i would turn the volume up past 25 the radio would turn off then come back on and would stay on if i turned it down. well i pulled the radio out to test the power wire to see how many volts were going to the deck. i disconnected my radio and went to test it put the red prong of my multi meter on the power wire and the black on a ground and i heard a pop sound come from my dash by where like the blower is i checked the fuse in my dash and its not blown neither are any other fuses but now my radio doesnt work any ideas?

You have a short somewhere, and a loose connection it looks like too. Find both and your problems will be solved. You might have cooked the radio in the process.
the radio wasnt hooked up so i couldnt have cooked it but ill see if i can run the wires and try and figure it out
