So i got a repair order for my tint and after i rip it all off my windows, i then go to check to make sure my power windows still work and the drivers side goes down fine and up fine but squeaks so i am thinking its the residue left over from the tint. I then go to check my passenger side and it goes down fine but then only goes up about 3 inches so i put it back down and then it rolls up fine. I then try and roll it down again and it will only go down and up about 3 inches. So i was thinking it was catching on the residue left over from the tint...so i strip the door down and take out the glass and clean the glass, but then i check the window motor off the track and it still will only make about 3 rotations either way and then stop. So i am wondering if anyone else has had this problem with the SPAL windows and if you think its just the motor??? I never had a problem with my windows until i had to strip my tint.. Any help is appreciated.

they are garbage. all aftermarket window kits are junk. i get the same problems in all the time.

i figured it was the motor but it was just really odd that it started to crap out on me as soon as i took the tint off

I've been rocking out my spal power windows for 3 years now. No problems.

Was this the regular or deluxe kit?

this was the deluxe kit.....i have never had a problem with the kit until i removed the tint. It was the weirdest thing. The windows worked fine a couple hours before i took the tint off then one of them craped out on me

I think that motor misses the tint...lol

I really have no idea though. It sounds to me it's just a coincidence that the motor started to give out at the same time you took your tint off...
