Hi just as the title states i need help with my indash dvd player. basically i can watch tv with the optioanl tuner and play cds fine. the radio playes n dvds play yet with the af/fm the color only shows blk/wht same goes for the dvd screen is blk/whit and also has no sound. what could it be i looked in the manuel and lets say that was a big help
. the tv shows in color and the optional video output to rear monitors show color yet just not the masted indash screen and the screen with radio displayed. the unit is a Audiovox PAV-1510DTV mobile theater. any help would be greatly apprecciated
also the same model is also JENSEn VM9510 MOTORIZED 7 INCH TV/TUNER/DVD IN DASH UNIT. if it helps
defective unit almost definately. If it was an input that was doing that I would say that maybe you're getting chrominance without rgb, but if it's built in stuff that is black and white and the manual doesn't mention it I'd be looking at warranty.
it just weird that the outputs are color the tv tuner broadcasts in color and when i first put it in the radio/dvd showed color yet im not sure if i mess it a buttom that triggered it. on the radio mode it has color yet the whole thing is like greyed out and the dvd is just grey picture no sound. its a bit late for warrenty i installed it last year yet got wierd backfeed when i did ot so put in the stocker and kinda lost interest putting it back in until last night.
might be a defective component cable/s video or w/e your using

thats it its when i put the disk in the player(built in) it does it havent tried using a external input yet been pooring rain. so joe what did u end up doing???
reset the unit by unpluging it or pressing the reset button if it has one......if that doesnt work then the unit is bad. If it only plays black and white when you put a dvd into the BUILT in dvd player then you got yourself a bad dvd player.....but reset it first...
