its also possible the readings at 10 and 20 Hz are just the car shaking itself apart lol

Get an EQ and try flattening out the response a little bit. You might like the sound, you might not, but its worth a try, considering the time you spent with the meter.

sorry alex, forgot to mention i already have an EQ remote mounted in the trunk. needs some tweaking, but i need to do a few other things as well (pull rear speakers, double check front imaging, etc).

ya so i got professionally metered last night at a competition. i hit 127.x at my best. i lost of course (last place FTL), but a friend won the category. i was in with 2x10", 1x 12". i only have 1x 10" so i was put in this category by default.

all in all, im pretty happy with that considering what im running:

1 10" visonik DVC, 30W RMSx2 to the sub, 30W RMSx2 to the fronts. system needs some tweaking and a few other things. still not expecting to win, but i dont want to come in last again either lol.

im honestly somewhat impressed at that number, 60 watts to a single 10 hitting 127 is impressive.

ya i know im happy with it, but when your competing with others, its always better if you can get more.

not bad for a visonik sub, eh? like i said, when tested, designed, and built properly... an enclosure and crossover network can make a huge difference.

thanks guys, its much appreciated

but if your competing to win esp in spl you should be using the max amount of subs and power you can in your class.
