so are all five prong relays the same? and the way you wire them is the only difference? im still trying to figure out how to wire up my spal kit to my windows. i have a gang of relays that i got from a bunch of different cars at the yard. so any help would be awesome

It really depends on the relay. You'll most likely want SPDT (single pole double throw) which will commonly have terminals 30, 85, 86, 87, and 87A.
I find it easiest just to buy them from ebay or oznium.com and get them with harnesses.
Some of the ones you have might be SPDT, you just gotta check.

okay so thats what i was thinking. i tried wiring it up but did not work. i dont know what i did wrong. right now im trying to bypass the master switch. why? cause i could not find one at the yard. the cavys all had them missing. ive been to the yard more then i like to know and have never seen the master switch in any cavy. im assuming it wont work cause the window has to be grounded correct? i got some switches outta of malibu from the rear doors. but i cant figure out what wire goes to what. or if it will evenwork
so the switch i have has five wires i figure the following.
one is power(ignition)
one is ground
one is lock out for rear windows
the other two go to the motor
does that sound right?
the wire colors on the switch are
(help me figure these out please)
brown
purple
light green
blue
darker blue
if i figure out what wire goes to what i should be golden. also spal says i need 2 relays per window. is it 2 relays just for the window to go up or is it 2 relays for up and down? also am i suppose to wire the relays up for reverse polarity?
also the window up feature is gonna be on one channel and down on another correct? if so can i hook up both windows to one channel so they both go up or down at the same time?
sorry for so many questions. im not that great with wiring. i mean i can hook up a system in anything. i just start to get stumped when it comes to relays and crap like that. but i am getting better. i was able to wire a relay up for my power trunk. so if anyone can help me i would love you for ever (not in a gay way
) i just want to get these windows done already. i will not take it to a shop. i dont believe in that. not when i have the org here to help. besides i only take it to the shop to get inspections nothing more. oh and tires. but i dont even take my car then just the wheels.
so please all you electronics wises help me. im sure i can figure this out once i figure out the switch wiring
