Im currently running 2 12 inch alpine type e and a rockford fostage p-2002 they dont sound very good is it becuase the amp is now powerfull enough to run theme or is it just the way these subs are should i be using a bigger amp????
the amp is 600W
its cuz the type e line blows
"I did it because I wanted to see what it would look like. You should be greatful that I even told you that it would look good. If your to dumb to use photoshop and change the color of your own car then you don't need to see it changed. I'm not going to give my work away. I'll sell the pic to you though for $15."-Adam Kalin
^^JBO is about not being that guy
Biggest thing is that the amp is only pushing 50w to each speaker and they are rated for a minimum of 100 and can go up to 250. You're simply underdriving the hell out of them and most likely causing a considerable amount of distortion. Go buy a new amp, and if you can, get a pair of type-r's...they're tons cleaner and pound a hell of a lot harder than the e's. don't buy the type-s either, that's almost as bad as the e's.
dont go and buy all ur @!#$ from what best buy will tell u
its probably the enclosure that they are in.
I've got 2 x 12 Alpine Type S in a sealed crap prebuilt box, and the results are decent. I'm using a conservatively rated 400W RMS amp (Kicker ZR-360).
More clean power probably go a long way toward helping you out. Check also for more simple problems, such as running the two subs out of phase. That potential error could make any setup sound like condensed suck.
