I really want to use the Sunfire cluster out of the 1996 Sunfire I got my dash out of in my 1998 Cavalier.

I got the wiring harness from the Sunfire, but was wondering if there is a diagram out there for wiring the Sunfire cluster to the Cavalier?

i think in order to do that you'll need to sit down and spend some time looking at the diagrams for each car and figuring out how to fashion the connectors from your service harness onto the car you want to drive. the 96 sunfire uses 1 connector while the 98 cavi uses 2. they may not share all of the same functions, which may cause problems, and there's also a chance that the cluster would need to be programmed to the car, which may cause additional problems trying to use a piece that there is no calibration for to fit your vehicle.

I deal with factory service parts and procedures all day so maybe someone who knows a bit more about the specifics of fitting one system to another car could be more helpful

Well I know its been done, I can just barely fit my cavalier cluster in the sunfire dash, I'm afraid its gonna warp the sunfire dash and I wont wanna cut it up
