now that we got that out of the way.
I have a stock used Radio head unit out of a 2003 Cavalier that I got from my father in law. It is the base model, i.e. no casette player or cd player, just am/fm.
I also have a beater, my 98 Saturn SC1.
I want to put said radio in said car.
It fits in the hole, but the plugs are different.
How much work would it be to cut off the stock plug in the car, go to a Junkyard, cut off the plug in a 2003 cavalier, and splice / solder all the wires together, and then have it work?
Will I run into theft lock issues?
Will the car even be able to power/run the radio?
Where can I find the wiring diagrams / pinout drawings for both plugs?
Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

Ur best bet is findin a cheapo aftermarket deck and goin from there.
yeah, either that or junkjarding a stock deck from a saturn.
i bought the car with an aftermarket deck in it, then it got stolen, so i drove around with nothing for a while, and now i'm getting sick of the quiet, so i need something...
just get some 80 dollar deck from best buy or something and call it a day....
ebay FTW got an old school sony deck for like $15 shipped for the beater

Well, to some anyway
If I were to do that for a beater, I would either pull a Saturn stereo or e-bay something aftermarket / cheap.

this car uses more oil than gas.... lol
i'm not about to start on IHE on it...
and yeah, i found a deck at the scrap yard...
