Super late update, but proud of my work

It's not super luxury, but I like the way it looks and sounds, which is most important.

Outside

What's left of my backseat. The camera quality sucks, so the speakers don't look even, but I promise they are
The Hifonics is wired at 4 ohms to the Alpine front components, then at 2 ohms to give 85 each to the Kicker Comp 8s (crossed over to play mostly mids), and each of the Type S 6x9 in the factory location.
The Crunch is 500 watts at 2 ohms to the CVR.

Components (6.5")

Anyone have anything good to say?

It looks good for the most part. I would have payed more attention to the corners where the amps are Like Pete said, you can see around the Hifonics amp where you cut it up too much and too far.

As far as the sub set-up, not so much good to say, sorry. First I hope you have your 8's and 12 in separate chambers built to have the airspace each one requires to perform properly. Also, IF you really do have the 8's properly set up to play mid-bass rather than the lower frequencies that you sub will play, that is a horrible location. I wouldn't want my dedicated mid-bass to be all the way at the back. I highly doubt you have a ton of tuning time on making sure there is proper cut off between your component mids, 8's for mid-bass, and your sub. The reason I don't think you have the tuning time in is that you went all out with getting components and subs and supposedly the 8's set up for mid-bass only, but you are still running rear speakers and you put dedicated mid-bass all the way at the rear...

Do you have MDF rings between the door panel and the door frame holding those mids? If not, I would. You are not going to get the best sound, and putting too much stress on thin door panel plastic if they are mounted without mdf rings.

Trying to be as civil and positive as I can in this post, because clearly you have some knowledge and passion, and aren't the every day troll talking about how awesome his pawn shop equipment is. But unfortunately, it couldn't all be positive lol.

On the other hand....you have other fingers.

Thanks for all the good, and the bad. Yes all the subs are in seperate chambers, and have the factory rec. amount of airspace. I love the doors, the back wall was sort of an experiment really, to test how long that'd all hold up. I've had it done since July, and it's still okay. I'm gonna play around with a bit more options in the future. Thanks for the civility..

The crunch amp actually does a good job, but i'm afraid the plexi would suffocate it. After about 2.5 hours of continous full blast highway music, it'll get hot, then I just have to open the windows, let it chill, and she's good to go. The hifonics never gets hot though, it's a champ. They both light up blue at night, which looks cool with the words and what not.

If nothing else its a head turner, and sounds a hell of a lot better than factory. If any one has any ideas for whenever the next rebuild is, I'd love the hear em, I was honestly just happy that I ever came through on a project, lol.

also, in regards to the comments on the hiphonics amp and the carpet around it...

if you look up a picture of those amps, you'll see a sort of chrome trim or cap on the end of the amps, there are some raised portions where the lights are, and for both openings on those amps to be equal, i had to carpet around them, so I did the best I could. I'm surprised I haven't seen more doors done like that...

I like the looks of it man looks good. I wish I didn't have roll up windows on my doors, would have made things alot easier but I cut my doors up good to get 6.5s to look ok in my car.
