Recently my system (the sub speakers eveything) will cut out when I put my system up to my usual operating volume around 40 or so on my Pioneer deck. It works fine running around 2k RPMs or so running down the road but at idle of if the motors off itll start cutting out at around 35. It looks like an alternator issue to me. I have the Big 3 done and I thought it was supposed to help that kind of stuff. What can I do? Yellow top? Better alternator? Im only pushing around 200 to 300 watts right now and I'm concerned that this will hurt me when my Sundow 1000 watt comes in. Or could it be an issue with the head. I've read that Pioneers have crappy grounds and power wires but idk for sure. So any help is appreciated.
this happened to me a while back with my old pioneer with a crappy pioneer 760 watt amp. but it was just the sub that turned off not the whole thing but i would check the ground like you stated, does the headunit shut off?

Its just a momentary cut. Kinda like skipping. Unless the CD is vibrating but I doubt it.
yea my set up made some of my brand new cd's skip by shaking the dash so much. i guess if its like a skip in the cd and it only does it when your shaking the crap outta your car i wouldnt worry about it.
but i would still recheck all connections and so on.

what could the issue b if the hole deck turns off??
check your wires. you might have to run a new ground and power wire. if the stock ones are corroded or whatever. also could be a fuse.

I didn't ghetto ass hack anything . Thanks for assuming I like the ability to splice wires. And it was a power issue I got a yellow top and it stopped.

yeah it was for mr i am audio god and will give tons of bad advice and i dont even know how to fix a basic issue because there are grade schoolers who know more than me. .
Easiest check is the 6x9s. If the tinsel leads are shorting out it will put the deck into protection mode temporarily.
On that note, ANY speaker wires shorting out will do the same thing, so I highly suspect it.
Wouldn't be an alternator issue since you say it happens with the engine off (IE: Alternator NOT engaged.)
Ill check them when I pull my box out for when my car goes to the body shop next week cause my box sits about an inch blow the 6x9s so its a little hard to access. But dont most components (amps heads etc) requires the ignition to be cycled before they will reset?
