I installed a pioneer avh p6500 dvd head unit. The problem is, is when ever i set my presets and then turn the car off and turn it back on i lose the presets and have to reset them time after time. Could it be that i hooked the yellow constant wire worng. Let me know what youguys think before I tear it all back apart

that sounds like a good place to start check the yellow wire
sounds like you didnt hook up a constant with, or the accessory wire right.
Or you got your red and yellow wires backwards. That's most likely.
you need to have that parking brake wire hooked up to a ground, use the one from the back of the harness. this is what i did and it works wonderfully. you might need to enter a code also to activate it. good luck!
you got the yellow and red wires backwards, The unit can not keep its memory due to a lack of the a constant +12v
