Hello,
I purchased a Nordic 2way remote starter last spring. This summer they replaced the brains (factory recall), however because I had left the remote portion at home, they could not link the remote to the starter/brains. Reading the manual, it tells me to flash the hood pin, then how to link the units together. My issue is with flashing the hood pin. When I attempt this, nothing happens. I can't get the lights to flash, or the sensor on the window to light up... idea's?
It says to flash the hood pin:
Press and hold the hood pin for 4 seconds
Release the hood pin (the parking lights will turn ON)
While the parking lights are on, press the hood pin once more and release immediately.
You now have 20 seconds to select one of the sum-menus.
Transmitter Programming Options
Flash the hood pin.
Before the lights go out, turn the ignition key to the ignition on (run) position and immediately to the off position.
Press and hold the lock button and keep it down until the siren or horn chirps twice and the parking lights flash 5 times quickly.
The transmitter has been stored in memory.
Idea's? It's starting to get cold up here (frost every morning, and snow will be here soon!), and the nearest futurshop (where I bought it) is 1800 kms away (1200 miles).
