Im not sure if this is the right thread, but i was wondering what size the bulbs for the cluster lights are? I wanted to switch my bulbs over to LEDs

Sorry, can't be done on the 2000-2005 clusters without tearing the things apart... the bulbs are soldered to the circuit board inside the cluster.

...and if you do, good luck with the needles. The little gear packs tend to break if you pry the needles off.

I have an 02 with blue LED lighting. You have to remove the stock bulbs and put LED's (many more of them) somewhere else. Simply replacing the lamps with LEDs results in spotty lighting.

You have to desolder the stepper motors from the board. You can do this with a cheap iron and copper desoldering braid from radioshack. You have to be careful not to bend any pins on the motor because upon reassembly they have to drop in.

well when i bought the car it was a salvage car from an auction so i couldnt ask the person who had it before if there were any loose ends with it. It has the white gauge overlays but it dosnt have the converter box it normally plugs into im guessing he just didnt use it cause he didnt want it but i cant hard wire the wire coming off the gauges into my stock dimmer because it will burn out right?
