Im going to pull the AD244 for a rebuild since its making some noise at low RPMs and I want to get it painted. Anyone know where I can get the HO stator and what not?
How does this look?
Spring Hill 240 amp
I think Jeffrey showed me this site before.

i have that kit, but the 220A kit for the stock cs130d. EXTREMELY happy with it
a few words of warning, the stators DO NOT like to come out without a good bit of cohersion. also, to separate the halves of the alternator, use a torx/hex socket in the snout, don't beat on it directly, ask me how i know

How does it do at idle voltagewise?
well...at my idle, which for some reason seems really low (750 low), at the B+ terminal, it shows 13.7, amp shows 13. ANY engine speed above that, and it goes straight to 14.7 at both B+ post and amp. i have a couple different pullies im going to try, the first one i tried put the belt out of line and would have needed machining to work, but was the perfect size. but the good news: NO dimming, at any time, and voltage never drops below 13, even at idle, playing hypnotize, good vibrations, tocatta in b, moon with the rebel bass, and scream aim fire. consecutively. on a 75/25-925 optima up front and a D51R out back, on a single run of 1/0.

Im getting 14.7 at idle now with the over drive pulley with no load on the system so Im assuming that I lose a little bit at idle I still should be sitting pretty. I just wanted to make sure it didnt get ridiculously low.
On that note I need to get a voltage gauge.
I got a 99 2.4 motor and I installed an alero 3.4 alternator and havent went below 14.5 volts even with teh system bumpin, and I have a built motor including an underive pulley, I believe its liek 185 amps or something like that
Im rockin the 2200 boat anchor. So my alt is from an 02 Avalanche. Im thinking 240 amps is going to set me up nice.
only word of advice, if i were you, once i'd gotten the alt case apart, i would take the half with the stator and your new stator to an automotive electronics repair center, as pressing the stator is a tedious job, and while it CAN be done with a flat punch and hammer, it can damage the stator and takes FOREVER.

Hmmmm Idk any repair centers around here. Ill cross that bridge when I get to it. Hahahah
just get a dc power alt..... 180 amps idle. under load..... 270+ amps at 2000 rpms under load. alos the owner there might no where to get some good rebuild kits.

over that iirc. lol but its the quality that your pawing for. but seriously, he might know how to get ahold of some damn good rebuild kits.

I doubt it. I dont think hed sell me the kit to build an alt he sells. Thats bad for business. Hahaha.
Im going to rebuild the SOB i figured I might as well juice it up to.
If you look inside of your DC and your Iraggi and your Mechman and your EA alts, you're going to see all the same parts, minus the stator in all of them. All the good shops use transpo parts inside. You're not losing out on quality at all.
Your car may do 13 sec @ 103 mph, but my car does 146db @ 35 hz.
