now that i got my speakers installed and sound deadened my next step would be to amp them. since i am using a stock h/u i will be wiring them to my speaker level inputs, but i also want to add a sub as well. so what is the best way to wire the system up?
Is it required that you keep the stock HU? You can get a very flexible, easy to use, MUCH higher quality head unit with 3 sets of preouts for 150-200$ That should always be the starting point to upgrading a complete audio system. The head unit is the command center, the central processing unit, THE signal of all your fancy new amps and speakers. Doesn't it make sense that it's the first thing you put a lot of thought into?
On the other hand....you have other fingers.
Liquor is not a drug John, liquor is not a drug.
ok so when it comes to speaker level input do i just 'tap' into speaker wire without disconnecting it from H/U harness? and do i need to use speaker output channels in amp or no?
alright so let's get this straight.. to properly do this you need to tap into your speaker outputs to get a signal to amp through speaker level inputs, then you have to run another set of cables from your speakers to amp's speaker output , so it'd be 2 wires for input and 2 for output signal for each speaker, am i understanding this correctly??
