Well I have yet to install a aftermarket deck into a Sunfire that has the factor monsoon system....And I am doing one this friday...So any help would be great..Thanks,jason

Are you retaining the factory Monsoon amp and speakers? ie.. just replacing the head unit?

Or new deck, speakers, et al?

We are installing a new deck,I just wanted to know if I need to rewire all speakers or is it easy enough to ditch the amp...Or can I just get a harness and plug and play,Thanks,Jason

I was busy at work when you called

Get the Scosche GM-035 or whatever "GEO Tracker" harness from Walmart.. hook up the red wire (+12V switched wire) like any other 2000-05 J-body car... to the wiper fuse or whatever you prefer..

The Monsoon amp has a pink wire to feed power. Take the blue/white (remote turn on) lead from the new deck and connect it to that pink wire. Should make the Monsoon amp turn on and off. That's how it is in the 'vert.. (I put a Monsoon system in.. stock, so no one will steal it..)
