I have a 2000 cavalier automatic but have a big loud ricer exhaust, sometimes i feel it revs to high but can't tell if it's just my ricer exhaust. I like to know exactly what is happening to my car and so i want to put in a tach. I do not already have one and so the wiring isn't there.
Where is the signal wire for the rpms? please note it is a 2.2 2000 AUTOMATIC!!! (sedan, but that doesn't really matter)?
Thanks so much!
Cluster swap, because it sounds like you want an excuse to put in a ricer tach.
to my knowledge, the wiring harness IS the same. So all you would have to do is find a 2000+ Cav in a junk yard and swap the cluster over.

yes it is. all you need is a cluster with a tach from any 2000+ j-body.
car audio noob since 1984.
