ok so me and a friend were putting in a cd player in my car. its an 02 cavalier, after getting it installed i am driving home and look down and the light that shows the mileage doesnt show up and i can barely read the mileage. whta could have caused the light to quit working? any help would be appreciated
Wack the top of the dash (HARD) a few times and the light should pop back on. Mine did the same thing, had to wack it forever to get the light to come back.

You'd think so... but no, nothing's loose... it's a very common problem on 00+ cars.. usually Cavaliers. Even GM techs smack the top of the dash to fix it.
It's the damndest thing!
