I have an annoying problem. When I turn on the headlights, or an accessory (such as A/C) the volume on my radio drops very slightly for a split second. It's barely noticable, but still noticable. It also does it when I tap the brakes. Not all the time, usually when I haven't tapped them for a while. So basically anything that draws current from the electrical system causes it. My radio is all stock except for an aftermarked head unit. It's not the head because I've had it for quite a while and it just started happening. Any ideas?
Ground maybe?

What do you mean? Something isn't grounded, or something is grounded that shouldn't be?

maybe possibly the alternator??

I put a new alternator and battery in it no more than 6 months ago. Tomorrow I'll pull the dash off and check the ground to the radio. I'll also hook a multimeter up to it and see what the voltage is and if it drops when the brakes are pressed.
This could be a long shot, but I had to fix an installation once where when the person put the brakes on, the radio would freak out. Turns out the stereo shop ran the hot right around the brake pedal area and it would short out.
